REQUIREMENTS TO EXPEDITE U.S. PASSPORT
PASSPORT RENEWAL
You should apply for a passport renewal if you answer Yes to all the following questions:
I have a passport that is not damaged -and-
I received it within the past 15 years -and-.
I was over the age of 16 years when it was issued -and-
I still have the same name as in the passport (or I can legally document my name change by marriage or court order.)
1.
Completed application form DS-82
- For use only if the passport was issued less than 15 years ago and
the applicant was over age 16 years when the current passport was issued.
- If your passport was issued more than one year ago and you require an amendment such as a name change, you must submit the correct documentation required for a name change by marriage or court order. All documents submitted for a name change or a data correction must bear the official seal of the issuing authority. Photocopies and notarized documents are not accepted.
- Applicants requesting expedited passport service through TDS, MUST now use an online version of the form DS-82, rather than handwriting the required personal data.

Cover Page and Credit Card Authorization forms

4. Most recently
issued passport. The passport must have been issued less than
15 years ago, and the bearer must have reached their 16th birthday
before the passport issue date.
5. Proof of
the departure date from the USA is required (copy of itinerary
or air tickets, or letter on employer's stationery confirming
immediate international travel is required).
6.
Appointment:
If you require an emergency passport issued in 1-3 business days, you must have an appointment to proceed. Please call 1-888-874-5100 for an appointment. TDS must receive your document at least one business day prior to your appointment.
7. An Authorization Letter
"Attn: U.S. Passport Agency" stating "I authorize Travel Document
Systems to pick up my passport and to discuss the status of my
application with the Passport Services staff." This letter requires
the original signature of the applicant in
BLUE INK. Click here to print

Information
- Your
application will be hand carried to the U.S. Passport Agency.
There, the Passport Agent will examine the application and
if all documents are in order, assign a date the passport
will be issued (according to departure date from U.S.). Processing
time varies according to the departure date from the U.S.
- Urgent applications (which may be issued in
48 hours) require proof of departure within 96 business hours
of being submitted to the passport agency and MUST be shipped
to TDS using only the FEDEX Company.

- Urgent
applications can be issued as fast as same-day or 24 hours,
less urgent applications are issued within three to seven
days.
- A 48-page
business travelers passport can be issued in lieu of the usual
24-page passport on request at no additional charge (however,
ONLY if the larger books are available at the time of issue).
Attach a note requesting a 48-page passport to the passport
application.
